This time I’m going to show you how to reference field or fields from different custom types in WordPress. So what does that mean? It means that we can have a special field in our custom type that will give us the ability to choose a relationship between our custom type and another custom type and it’s custom fields.

In this example instead of writing authors name for our “books” custom type we will choose it from a dropdown list of already available authors. And by doing this we will get access to that custom type and it’s fields that we will use in our templates.
