October CMS is relatively new on the CMS scene, it’s first stable version was released very recently. But it has been in development for at least two years now. Although it’s new, it already has nice community around it, and it has gotten pretty good reviews on the CMS scene. It is based on Laravel framework, so there is one more reason to get into it.

In this series we are gonna go step by step in creating a functional website using October CMS. We are going to learn about themes, plugins, components and all other good stuff that October CMS comes with.

In this episode we are going to install October CMS on our local machine.
